built in 1839 by Thomas Baskerville
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a good friend
of the Baskervilles and it was here
where Conan Doyle penned the classic The
Hound of the Baskervilles featuring the
world’s best-known detective Sherlock
Holmes
Mark will be doing a solo session in
what was once the rose gardens where The
Apparition of Elizabeth Baskerville has
been seen on many occasions
I’ve just started my solo session off in
the room that’s called the rose gardens
and the reason why it’s called the rose
gardens is it was actually built on
an old Rose Garden that Elizabeth
Baskerville used to come and tend to and
Schuster
love coming out of it out here just
spending some quiet time on her own and
turn into the flowers
Jeff and filler are way way over the
other side of the building and they
couldn’t be further away from me if they
tried because I think they’ve gone
upstairs as well
so I’m well and truly on my own down
here
you might be able to do a slight home
and that’s coming there’s a swimming
pool to the to my right
but otherwise I’m absolutely on my own
in here
could I start out by introducing myself
you might already know my name
because we’ve been wandering around for
a few hours now in this beautiful house
my name’s mark
the person I would like to ask for is
Elizabeth Baskerville do we have
Elizabeth Baskerville here
when this was your rose garden so I can
only imagine how beautiful it would have
looked but all different sorts of plants
and roses
was this your special place
whilst Mark is on the other side of the
building Phil and I set up an EMF
tripwire covering the staircase
this is where there are reports of an
unknown man that walks the hallways and
staircases
so me and Phil are on the main staircase
now
where
someone has seen they call the unknown
man
so what we’ve done we’ve got a tripwire
and it’s up the stairs here
and halfway up the staircase over there
and what it is each individual light
is a separate EMF detector
so if it picks up a change in the EMF
they will change colors
do you know what Phil this is probably
got to be one of the quietest locations
we’ve ever investigated it is like being
an underground bunker
it’s that quiet
there are no roads near us
there’s no
Street lighting
we’re in the middle of the country in
this big massive mansion house
good evening
my name is Jeff
and the gentleman there is Phil
and we’re here this evening to speak to
any of the members of the Baskerville
family
or indeed if any
of the people that were here that used
to work for the Baskerville family
now
the reason we’re standing here
on this really big impressive staircase
is because
there is a gentleman that’s seen
walking around here
up and down the staircase
but they don’t know your name
and they call you the unknown man
and they would like to know
Who You Are
now is it possible
that we can see you
you don’t have to be worried scared or
shy because the reports say when people
approach you you disappear very quickly
but is it possible you can come up the
staircase please
or
if you’re up there on the balcony if
you’d like to come down the stairs
can you do that for us please
yeah someone just brushed past me
someone’s gone past you yeah brush but
it caught my shirt as it went past
it went past in your direction
it just caught the back of my shirt

next to Phil and then you brushed past

do you need me to move out your way or
are you just trying to communicate with

like a weird sensation Jeff
it’s like um
it’s difficult to explain it’s like a
tightening
feels like
not a push as such but almost like
somebody’s trying to hold me
I’m just standing still because it’s
it’s odd
muster up all your strength
I was uh
flash on the stairs then
on the bottom step going up not at the
very bottom but the second set of stairs
the the lights which are on the stairs
if you walk
either down the stairs or up the stairs
they will change color or flicker
and it will show us that you’re either
coming towards us or going away from us
there’s more than one of you here isn’t

with our tripwire being activated and
something brushing past fill and The
Sensation of being touched Phil and I go
down to the first floor to try and
communicate further

I heard that this once also was a school
wow
it was when you mentioned School
so
oh well
it’s communicating that’s that’s
fantastic so we mentioned School twice
and the lights flashed so that’s what
you’ve got to do so
when I say something that’s correct if
you could make that flash please that’ll
be brilliant
so um
as I said I mentioned the school I
are you a child that went to the school
that’s a yes
are you a young child

I can’t go any lower than five they
didn’t have schools with babies in them
maybe you didn’t understand when I said
Teenager are you 11.
back in what was once the rose gardens
Mark documents no evidence so we all
meet up in the lounge on the ground
floor where Phil tells us of what he had
experienced on the upper walkways
so Phil worm when we was up on the
landing on the top floor you felt
something brushed by you but you didn’t
look uh well you looked a bit uneasy so
what actually happened
it was weird
um
I mean the initially it felt that we we
heard a noise
and then I felt something brushed past
the back of my shirt and it moved back
my shirt
which in my typical way made me go oh
you know I don’t I don’t run away
necessarily but it does make you jump
um
that was fine
then
continue to happen you carried on
talking and it just felt that something
was
touching the back of my t-shirt the
lower part of it my after shirt rather
and
um
eventually I said Jeff’s stop you know
this is happening and we swapped he took
the camera
um
it continued
um
and I actually asked for it to
for for it to push me
do it harder and
it was really quite strange because I
didn’t get shoved
it
it physically felt like somebody had
their hands around the lower part of my
back
I was applying pressure
and it was really difficult to explain
because it wasn’t hard
it wasn’t nasty it was like somebody had
laid their hands on my back and was just
pushing slightly
um
now it got to the point where it wasn’t
stopping
and that started to make me feel a
little bit uneasy and that’s why I said
let’s stop now
do it you know go go and
do it to Jeff so he can experience it as
well
I also felt okay please excuse me it’s
it’s a little bit it goes a bit hazy but
I also felt
brush of wind
go past me at one point and when I held
my hand out and said look touch my hands
you could you could fill it felt like a
cold
stroking like that across my hand
now I wasn’t too fast about that but
normally I don’t get particularly
freaked out with stuff you know
something happens and I’m like oh you
know
and I don’t often get a feeling of
something’s not right it’s just like you
know I’m used to walking around in the
dark and tripping over things Etc but
for some reason up on that staircase
suddenly felt a very very strong feeling
that there wasn’t just one spirit that
there was a number of spirits there and
they were over the other side of the
balcony looking towards us
but the feeling was that they were
coming round from both sides towards us
and it was a really strong feeling and
it that’s what made me feel uneasy and
the feeling passed as soon as we left
that particular level and gone down a
level
completely changed I felt at ease again
it’s just very unusual for me because as
I say I don’t normally
sense things like that or even imagine
things like that whether whether it was
My Imagination Running you know running
away with it or whether I was just
sensing something but it didn’t seem
right up there at that point
our static cam 3 in what was once the
rose gardens where Mark was earlier is
now capturing loud banging
a child aged 11 has communicated with us
from back in the days when the hotel was
aboard in school
with so much ground to cover we move on
to our next session
Phil will go to the dining room for a
solo session whilst Mark and I we will
do a full sweep of the location using
the SLS cam
we will start on the main staircase then
into rooms eight seven and two
then finishing off on the ground floor
I’m here
on my own now
um Jeff and Mark
have gone up to the very top floor
and they’re going to still walk around
with the SLS scam
so I thought
I’d do a little solo session in the
dining room
uh
another impressive room to be fair
um
the
the paneling in this room
I believe
came from a church which was being
renovated
but it didn’t come directly basically
the guy who was doing the renovation
of the church
all the leftover bits and pieces
the pews
bits of Timber and stuff like that
he took home and he actually did
his own house in it
and the owner of this house
found out
what had happened
and was the
the being the owner of all the land it
was actually one of his tents that had
taken the church taken the wood from the
church
and he came in and had looked at it and
liked it so much he said yes it’s lovely
but it would look a lot better in my
house
and it was all taken out of this tenants
house that had put it all in and it was
um put in here
and it looks rather nice to be honest
what I’d like to ask you
is
when this house was built
wash this room used as the dining room
it’s quite Grand
it’s got some
large arches
it’s got a very ornate ceiling
um Chandelier no idea whether it’s
original or not but
um again quite Grand
okay I’ve just seen Shadows
under the door
somebody is walking outside
that door it’s just cast Shadows right
across
I’m gonna take my camera
let’s kind of have a look it’s a bit
dark so please excuse me if I trip over

who’s in the corridor
and there’s nobody here that is really
odd
okay

basically what happened was underneath
that door there’s a light outside
and there was about three shadows
that blocked out the light from under
the door
really odd and there’s nobody in the
corridor
Phil sees several Shadows of figures
passing in the hallway from under the
door
Mark and I are nowhere in the area as we
are still up on the other floors
finishing our sweep
now noise in that corridor
switch the camera around
let’s go and find out what’s going on
because there’s definitely something out
here
is that you Jeff
is that you yeah okay
can I ask a question yeah
have you been walking up and down this
corridor that it was literally just the
it somebody was walking down the
corridor because it blocked out the
light from under the door but it was
probably a good 15 minutes ago no no
there was three shadows that went down
there that’s what it looked like
but I might sort of grab the camera and
turned it round and I went out into the
hallway there was nobody there but I
didn’t hear anything it wouldn’t have
been I heard that’s why I’ve come out
now because I heard a noise outside and
said hang on I’m going to go and find
out what that is yeah well you heard
yeah yeah and that was yeah
because yeah we went upstairs
we had a look at it here first why not
uh up around went into all the different
rooms
went down there stayed down there for a
bit and we’ve literally just come back
now and that must have been as you heard
dead but it wasn’t as that before we’ve
only spent a minute down there no in
that case it wasn’t you because it was
but it was definitely there was no sound
of movement but it was Shadows under the
door
we complete our investigation at
Baskerville Hall Hotel
we all came into contact with the
Paranormal Activity that has been
reported by staff and visitors over many
years
and we would like to thank David hodby
