In this article, I will continue to review the process of taking measurements of the apparition captured by 6 explorers. I will reference their links towards the end of the article.
The first thing I had to perform is to identify the best image possible with clear perspective lines with vanishing points. This image will guide photo-matching within Sketchup.
The image should also have some object of interest which we know the measurement to establish some sort of baseline that will guide the rest of the build.
As described in the video, I had to start working myself back to the apparition on the window. I made some measurement as best I could and came out to be around 10″ x 7″
An Adult or Child?
With this information, we can now try to determine if this apparition resembles a child, teenager, or full adult. Given the approximate measurements, we can use this chart for an adult human:
The head breadth of an adult measurement closely resembles our apparition head size. Given some tolerance with distortions from the video scene, we can assume that the apparition is an adult entity.
